Dear Oakley Parents and Guardians
While study leave might be drawing to a close for some, for the 4th Form and Lower 6th, it is not only business as usual but with additional end-of-year events.
We took the new Monitor Team zipwiring last weekend as a chance for some teambuilding. Despite some nerves, everyone encouraged each other and lots of fun was had:

The Lower Fourth really impressed me with their approach to this year’s camp. It wasn’t easy to sleep in tents and walk with ginormous rucksacks but they all persevered and came back, proud of themselves that they survived the rain and pushed themselves out of their comfort zones:

It’s hard to believe that the Lower Fourth are now at the end of their first year in Oakley and on Friday we welcomed the Class of 2031 for their Transition Day. The Monitor Team led proceedings and the morning was taken up with getting-to-know-you activities, tours of the House and the obligatory photos:

Coming up this week we have Junior House Tennis and Rounders as well as our Oakley Summer Party at the end of the week. Then we will be busy preparing for the return of our Upper Sixth so that we can send them off in style on Commemoration Day. I do hope many of you will be able to join us too.
Best wishes
Victoria Adams
